Nashville Symphony Show House: Exterior and Architectural Elements
Architecturally reminiscent of homes built in the late 1800s, the Nashville Symphony Show House evokes a nostalgic, yet timeless feeling. The home has a parapet clad entrance and deep reveal lap siding, making it a perfect example of Southern Contemporary Folk design.
Though traditional in appearance, the home is constructed using the most up-to-date and state-of-the-art building materials available ensuring modern comfort and ease of maintenance. The home’s exterior lap siding is a revolutionary building product from Nichiha USA, Inc., Fiber Cement. Fiber Cement is a versatile, sustainable, high-performance product that is weather, rot and pest proof.
Nashville Lumber Co. and LP Building Products ensure the home is as solidly built as it is beautiful. LP’s Engineered I-Joists & Beams offer structural stability while their Tech Shield reduces heating and cooling costs.
The interior walls were built using CertainTeed AirRenew® Gypsum Board. The AirRenew® family of products are the only gypsum boards that actively clean the air, improving indoor air quality for generations.
Pella’s exquisitely detailed wood windows and patio doors add drama and architectural interest to the home, inside and out. All Architect Series products feature distinctive, fine-furniture detailing, providing the most authentic look of individual windowpanes.
The standing seam bronze metal roof by A&R Roofing completes the classic time-honored style of the home.
Designed by Wade Weissmann Architecture and built by Castle Homes, The Nashville Symphony Show House is a virtuoso of style and innovation making it Nashville’s premiere home tour.
