Ultimate Southern Cookie Contest Has Yummy Bake-off
Nashville’s only Southern Living Showcase Home, opening this Friday, October 21, sponsored a search for the Ultimate Southern Cookie Contest and four finalists have been named. Miss Daisy King, WTVF Talk of the Town regular and cooking expert, was kind enough to sort through the entries to determine the finalists who will earn the newly released KitchenAid 7 quarter mixer featured in the Southern Living Showcase Home’s gourmet kitchen.
The finalists and the cookies are:
– Valarie Hooten, Cranberry-Pecan Orange Cookies
– Airin Kemp, Double Ginger Crackles
– Angela Folds Fox, Jack O’Lit-ern Pumpkin Chip Cookies
– Mary Carter, Southern Pecan Mixed Chocolate Chip with Sea Salt
On Wednesday, October 19, Castle Homes is hosting the Social Media Club Nashville with Nashville Women Who Blog for a sneak peek of the Southern Living Showcase Home and a discussion of the first social media campaign launched for a premiere home tour. The attendees have the privilege of tasting and voting for the winning entry. The results will be announced via posts taking place that night on the Showcase Home’s Facebook and Twitter accounts as well as @SMCNash.
