Magical Moroccan Powder Bath Inspired By Southern Living Pillows
A dash of Moroccan magic with a southern twist is the feel of the luxurious downstairs powder bath of Nashville’s only Southern Living Showcase Home with inspiration taken from a Southern Living feature on Moroccan Palace Pillows.
Dana Tucker, of Bella Tucker Decorative Finishes, says the pattern has been adapted for the showcase home in elegant tone-on-tone colors. “After researching how this pattern could be applied to the powder bath we are creating, we found the perfect Stencil Crème from Royal Design Studio to use. () With a Magnetic Grey base (Sherwin Williams #7058), we’ve used Pearl Oyster as the stencil overlay which is a great color complement for the home’s main area which has Sherwin Williams’ Oyster White,” Tucker said. “The result is a very striking but smart use of a bold and intriguing pattern in a smaller space and be sure and notice the hand-applied .”
Tucker said she enjoys exploring what’s new and different in design trends. Graphic patterns, like the one used in the powder bath, are a fresh take on the idea of reflecting world travels but with a regional adaption.
Throughout the Southern Living Showcase Home, global adventures are woven into room designs from the Waterford, Ireland chandelier and Indonesian teak root pedestal of the dining room to the African masks incorporated into the gentlemen’s study which is adjacent to the Bella Tucker powder bath.
