Top Five Reasons To Tour Fall’s Only Showhouse
If you are redecorating, remodeling or building, there are five big reasons you won’t want to miss the fall’s only home tour at Middleton Park in Nashville. Castle Homes has created a stunning English Arts & Crafts style home in the gated community and will be open for the My Southern Home tour select days through October 13 with Room In The Inn as the designated charity. Now, on to the five big reasons!
Top Nashville area designers have collaborated with Castle Homes on this showhouse and just past a stunning foyer, you’ll find one of the jewels of the home – an oversized island with a gorgeous Sea Pearl quartzite counter with a waterfall edge repeated on the range backsplash. Above the range backsplash is a custom plaster hood and be sure you notice the clever oil niches flanking the space for all of your favorite imported oils and spices. If you are looking for new kitchen counter options, quartzite is a beautiful one to consider. As opposed to manmade quartz, quartzite is a metamorphic rock, primarily made of quartz, and is formed from sandstone that’s been exposed to high heat and pressure underground. You’ll love this choice due to its strength and durability and the Sea Pearl is also a beautiful work of art in this kitchen!
From Farrow & Ball’s Smoked Trout to Sherwin Williams White Duck, if you are working on updating your home’s interior colors for the holidays, you’ll want to come see the luxurious colors the Castle Homes In-House Design Team selected for the showhouse. What color are these walls is one of the #1 home tour questions! We’ve answered it with our tour guide and there is a QR Code in each room with additional information on where to find the available accessories and furniture. A huge resource for any home update.
Besides the kitchen, bathrooms are always top of the list for updating and the Castle Homes’ showhouse has a creative array of ideas in the four-bathroom (four bedroom) home. Stepping into the primary spa-like bathroom, custom, stained cabinets have thickened Calcutta marble counters. (Our Castle team is on-site during the tour answering questions like what is thickened marble?) Natural French Vanilla stone is as delicious as it sounds and used in the bathroom and shower.
Studio McGee’s Kohler fixtures are throughout the kitchen and bathrooms of the home. Popular designer Shea McGee collaborated with Kohler for this stunning faucet line and you’ll want to see in person how gorgeous this product line is.
The focal point of the light-filled living room is the fireplace – custom-designed white limestone surround with gas fire logs instead of fireballs – more accurate for the home’s English Arts & Crafts style. You’ll also notice the solid, hardwood, 5” planks throughout this space and throughout the entire home. The floors play perfectly off the stained cedar beams weaving together a beautiful space which flows into the covered porch and gourmet kitchen seamlessly!
Although last on the list, the home’s architecture ranks first in importance for any Castle Homes’ house. Created in collaboration with long-time design partner, architect Kevin Coffey, the English Arts & Crafts style home blends two distinct design styles into one gorgeous exterior. Built on the last remaining lot in the Middleton Park gated-community, ultimately, the new home blends seamlessly into the existing homes while still shining as a unique architectural gem.
